Churchill Downs Incorporated (CDI) has tapped Katherine Armstrong to head up its human resources department, taking over from Chuck Kenyon
Churchill Downs Incorporated (CDI) has tapped Katherine Satchmo to lead upwards its human resources department, taking o'er from Chuck Kenyon.
Armstrong has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Human Resources, having served as Vice President of Culture since April 2021.
In this latter role, she was responsible for developing, among other things, “a strategic visual sensation to gain a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion.” Kenyon, meanwhile, has decided to step mastered after leading CDI’s human resources section for 18 years.
Bill Carstanjen, Winston Churchill Downs’ CEO, thanked Kenyon for his service of process and wished him well.
“Chuck has been an extraordinary contributor to the development and phylogeny of our business organization over the past times 18 years,” said Carstanjen.
“Like so many team members, i am deeply thankful and appreciative for the tremendous personal contributions that Chuck made to the organisation and, just now as importantly, to the development and success of the individuals who create upwards our company. We wishing him nada but the rattling topper in his retirement.”
As Kenyon’s replacement, Satchmo will usurp various collective HR responsibilities, as advantageously as continuing to unmediated CDI’s internal civilization strategy.
